Fresh off of selling 1135 Okie Street in the Ivy City neighborhood of Northeast, Mike Gordon, Vice President of Stout & Teague, helped a subsidiary of Matan Realty, led by entrepreneurial distillers Pia Carusone and Rachel Gardner, purchase 1369 New York Avenue from the Estate of Edith Karl. Doug Damron of Cresa Partners represented the sellers.

The 2-story, 24,000 SF industrial warehouse, primely situated at the corner of New York & Fenwick Avenues, traded for $2.325 million. The building has solidified its place as the entry point of Washington’s new Distiller’s Row. Pia & Rachel’s newly founded Republic Restorative’s will join Green Hat & One Eight Distillers in the neighborhood resurgence and will share the site with food incubator, Union Kitchen.
